Steve and Marilyn, after raising thirteen children of their own, have adopted seven children with special needs from several different countries. Each was abandoned by birth parents. Steve and Marilyn do a wonderful job, taking care of all their needs, and giving them the same love they gave to their birth-children.

Margaret Deelstra

Margaret Deelstra


Margaret teaches an all-day kindergarten class for special needs children. Margaret insists on having no more than seven students in her class to maintain one-on-one time with this special group. Her dedicated efforts have created a positive learning environment for her students.

 

 
Grant Hodgkinson

Grant Hodgkinson


When Grant and his wife Lois were married, they took in Lois' disabled sister. They have lovingly cared for her for more than 50 years. Also, Grant grew a large garden, which he willingly shared with many families in need. He has cared for a large group of widows and elderly, offering snow removal and repairs for many families who could not help themselves.

Caylee Stern

Caylee Stern


Caylee works as a child development specialist in the Granite School District. Caylee assists children under the age of three who have learning delays, and mental and physical disabilities. Also, each year she makes significant contributions to those in need through programs such as Sub-for-Santa.

Kip Wadsworth

Kip Wadsworth


In 2005, Kip expressed concern about deployed troops who leave higher-paying jobs for much lower pay. To help alleviate this concern, Wadsworth Construction, under Kip’s direction, sponsored fundraising efforts for the Utah National Guard Charitable Trust Fund, raising more than $255,000 in the first two years.

Emily Warren

Emily Warren


Emily volunteers to photograph terminally ill children. In the hours before children are removed from life support, hospitals and families contact Emily. Hospitals choose Emily due to her sensitivity in photographing the children as well as her ability to genuinely connect and sympathize with the families.
